Sustainable DIY & Energy-Efficient Home Practices

Untimely rains and extreme heat waves are environmental changes that the world is grappling with. While adopting a sustainable lifestyle is the way forward, the city of Dubai has been in the forefront of this cause. Dubai has been driving positive change through various strategic collaborations and green initiatives towards sustainable living. In keeping with the city’s commitment to sustainable development and eco-friendly practices, 2023 was declared the Year of Sustainability and the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050 was launched to meet 75% of the city’s energy requirements through renewable sources by 2050. 

The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) is a vital player, having launched several initiatives towards reducing energy consumption and promoting the use of renewable sources to eventually reduce dependence on fossil fuels. The Dubai Carbon Centre of Excellence (DCCE) is another key player in the green movement that collaborates with government entities and companies to develop and implement various sustainable solutions.
